Privacy Statement

Lake Country Insurance Group wishes to ensure that our clients’ privacy is protected. For this reason, as we collect and use your personal financial information, we take steps to assure its confidentiality whenever possible. Specifically, we limit access to this kind of information to only those individuals who “need to know” in order to perform their job responsibilities.  In addition, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural security measures that comply with federal and state regulations to safeguard your information.

Chapter INS 25 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code generally prohibits any licensees of the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, directly or through its affiliates, from sharing nonpublic personal information about you with a non-affiliated third party unless the institution provides you with a notice of its privacy policies and practices, such as the type of information that it collects about you and the categories of persons or entities to whom it may be disclosed. In accordance with both this Wisconsin law and with federal law, we would like to supply you with this complete privacy statement, detailing how and to whom we may disclose your nonpublic personal information.

What types of information do we collect?  In the course of our business, we collect nonpublic personal information about you from a few different sources. Initially, we receive nonpublic information from you on applications and other forms we use. We also maintain information about your transactions with us and with our affiliates, and we may receive information from [a] consumer reporting agency[ies].

What information do we disclose to non-affiliated third parties?

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.  At your request, we may provide information to the insurance companies that underwrite the policies we procure and service.

To whom do we disclose this information?

We disclose nonpublic personal information about you only to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.

Our right to disclose in unforseen circumstances.  In connection with the potential sale or transfer of our interests, Lake Country Insurance Group reserves the right to sell or transfer your information (including but not limited to your address, name, age, sex, zip code, state and country of residency and other information that you provide through other communications) to a third-party entity that concentrates its business in a practice or service similar to ours, who agrees to be our successor in interests with regard to the maintenance and protection of the information collected, and who agrees to the obligations of this privacy statement.
